June LI Pulse: Minor League Ball And Cover Party

Don't know if you've had a chance to pick up a copy lately, but LI Pulse magazine has done a nice job of redesign in 2009. In fact, LI Pulse just relaunched this week a vastly improved web site as well. I'm a regular contributor, and in the June issue I write about minor league baseball.

The story focuses on three area teams: Brooklyn Cyclones, Long Island Ducks and Staten Island Yankees, I love minor league ball simply for the atmosphere. But there's another reason to spend a summer night in the minors -- it's vastly cheaper than trekking to see their big league brethren in the Bronx or Flushing.
